Can anyone recommend a good deli for me? There are some days I long to fly just to PKD for their brisket sandwich...

Pastrami Sandwich on the Lunch Menu at RC is amazing

Otherwise just go to Mr. Broadway

A better brisket sandwich is located over the GWB in Teaneck NJ at Noahs Ark. They don't make them like that anymore.

That's if we're talking old-school delicious deli sandwich.

I was afraid someone would say Mr. Broadway's the best in NY...

That's a bit of a schlep, but if I'm in the area, I'll be sure to check it out! Thanks.

At least they taste amazing.  Order an app (duck gnocchi!) +soup (corn is heaven in a bowl) +entree (short ribs!) +fries (some of the best anywhere) +dessert and there's no way you leave remotely hungry. Throw in a frozen passion fruit margarita for good measure.

I've had 2 ultra-expensive steaks at RC ($60-$100) and both were disappointing.  Only other places I've had such expensive steak was at Shallots and and Tierra Sur, and those places do far better with them.
RCs lunch menu is far more appealing to me. The steak sammy is awesome and a much better value than their dinner menu.
Yes, the short rib tacos are amazing as well.
Now I'm starving  ;D.

Um, no it isn't. Actually one of the weaker things on the menu. And very overpriced for such a simple sandwich.

So? How was Colbeh?
It was actually VERY good. We had the cigars app which was great.
They gave us one of their "Stews" over crispy rice -on the house- which was interesting, although I wouldnt actually order it.
For the main we ordered the "Colbeh Combo for 2" or something like that, which had beef kebabs, ground beef kebabs, some chicken kebabs served with grilled tomatoes and other garnishments on a nicely presented platter. We got the Basmati and Orange rice as sides. All the meats were very flavorful, and juicy. And the rice was interesting and delicious.
Runny Chip and some chocolate truffle for dessert were very good. The guy I was with couldnt believe the ice cream wasnt dairy.

Overall a very nice experience and a chance to taste foods that arent typical.
I think the bill was around $100 or so and my non-Jewish vendor (very reasonable) seemed to be happy with the experience as well.

Le Marais
Prime Grill
Wolf and Lamb
Solo
Prime KO
Tevere
Prime at the Bentley
la brochette

My companion will be a non-Jewish female (business related lol)

I have already been to Reserve Cut and Mike's (liked Reserve more) so I want to try something new

Le Marais might have the best vibe

Prime grill. Good food. Nice ambiance but not too intimate. (Like Tevere)

Totally agree on Prime Grill.  La Brochette would also work.

I don't understand the obsession with La Marais -- not a fan of the food or ambiance.
