If you do want to weight it 4 or 5 oz. weight is BEFORE it's cooked
I know.
It was a joke.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

She won't for lunch. Additionally, if my idea is that the steaks here are overpriced, then this is a good opportunity to experience the "best ambiance in Kosher dining" without having to drop $250.
True

Menu says 4oz. Feel free to bring a scale.
The menu posted online is incorrect (or at least not intended current), as at RC their printed menus say 5oz. that said, among the 3 steaks at our table, one was clearly about 20% smaller than the other 2 :)

IMHO:
2 people should split 1 steak sammy,  1 prix-fixe, 1 tacos, pay with 3 cards to save $15.
$29 PF
$32 SS
$26 SRT
=$87
+$7.72 tax
+$14 tip
=$108.72
-$15 AMEX
=$93.72

Headed to Reserve Cut tomorrow for a summer lunch on a $150 budget, so don't know if I will bother with swiping all the cards, but thanks for the menu suggestions!

I dont think 4 or 5 ounces makes a difference. Either way it is small

Do it. Dinner is very overpriced and this is a nice deal.
Was inspired by today's DDMS post to take Friday off, and have reservations for four (me, DW, DS, DD) for lunch.  Would appreciate suggested ordering strategies for four people. Would like to get out of there with no more than 5 swipes, ideally 4.

Wow, Reserve Cut! Mmm mm mm mmm mm.

DW and I just had a great lunch. I had been to the RC DO, so this was my second time there, but her first. The ambiance, look, and service are truly, truly exceptional. (Of course we got tomatoes even though we requested not to, but I guess you can't get away from that wherever you go.) We looked over the menu (yes, the printed menu says 5oz.) and decided the apps all sounded weird and the steak (which was on the table next to us) was just too incredibly small. We were both stahving, so we ditched the restaurant week menu, and went for the good stuff:

Short Rib Tacos - as delectable as everyone makes them out to be, especially with the salsa. However, after 1 bite, we both looked at each other and said these tasted just like my wife's pulled BBQ chicken that she makes in the crockpot for Shabbos. Strange, but true.

Steak Sandwich - this was slightly a letdown, as it wasn't as overstuffed as the picture I saw on DDMS, nor did it have enough flavor. The meat was good, but it needed more flavor. The accompanying fries, though, were superb.

Grilled Chicken Avocado Sandwich - (not on the online menu as far as I can see) This looked really good on the menu and was bursting with flavor. Fries as well were great.

Those 3 dishes, plus a soda and tip came out to $111. Waitress had no problem splitting our meal onto 3 cards, so we spend about $95. While that's way more than we'd ever spend on a lunch (but understood you're paying for the ambiance), it's less than we would spend on a nice dinner, and so because we had a milestone to celebrate, we were happy with the experience for under $100. Thanks Dan for pointing out the AMEX offer.

Quick question: I know it's an upscale and fancy place.  Can men wear shorts for lunch?

Most ppl were in business lunches, so in biz causal or suits. A guy in shorts walked in as we were leaving, though.

Thanks. It's tough to get my 18-year-old to wear pants these summer days except on Shabbos. ;)

Thanks. I wouldn't feel right having them wear tank tops and cut off jeans. But nice khaki shorts and a collar shirt. Are you going to be there tomorrow?
