different price levels (LB will be more $). for a sandwich/going with kids definitely wolf/lamb. for sushi/semi-top level steak its la brochette in my experience (though i havent got a steak at WL in prob 10+ years so things may have changed).

bedford on park is good same price as LB

Actually wolf and lamb is now days since they raised their prices same as la brochette ,lb is a romantic quiet upscale steak house

need to take a (nonkosher) client out for a 6pm pasta dinner with drinks. choices seem to be va bene, noi due and Service Station. service station is a hoof from the train, is it worth it and is it nice enough for a client? any other insight?

Would you consider 'my most favorite' as an option? It is a good option for a dairy place that can accommodate a client meeting in a quieter setting.
Noi Due certainly has the best food but at 6PM it will be packed and you will most likely need to wait a while for a table and be rushed to finish - not quite conducive to a great client meeting.

mmff is a little too far north. we are going to service station, praying it will be worth it...

Service station was great though far out. Very casual vibe (Half the tables have benches instead of chairs) but food was excellent, extensive and quality drinking options, and we enjoyed. Wish it was closer to a subway...
