There are no restaurants in the lower east side. There is pizza, calzones, wraps and salads in the kosher store on grand street - they will occasionally deliver if they have someone available.
Murrays Falafel and Mocha Burger (NoHo) both deliver there.

very busy there (though food is excellent), come downtown to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, Lox on the second floor is just as good (with slower service) in a nice quiet and roomy environment.

Went to reserve cut for the first time, finally. Totally randomly just met a friend for lunch. Short rib tacos with pico were really excellent. The burger was just decent.. I prefer mocha burger. Fries were awesome.

Rookie mistake getting the burger over the steak sammy.

or get the porcini wagyu burger for a few bucks more, which is consistently excellent (vs the variable quality of the steak sammy...).
another note once we are on RC, after having a weak thin 5 oz prime fillet towards the end of the summer, they went back recently to a gezinte thicker 5oz (kevayachol) where u can actually order it medium rare and get a really nice steak experience with the $29 3 course. and the carrot soup was off the hook this week.

not sure what u mean re ambiance, Lox has views to the ocean (though partially obstructed by trees and the tree/rock garden), and is very quiet and usually empty.
dont think either are chalav yisroel or pas yisroel, but Lox is OU and Russ is R mehlman.

This ought to fill 2 people:

Duck Gnocchi: $22
Ravioli Bolognese: $22
2 shorts ribs: $108
Fries: $8
Fondue dessert:$20
=$180+tax/tip

Can add 2 soups to be certain.
Pretty sure I would only like the short ribs and fries. Any other suggestions?

Another app is Pulled Beef Taquitos. It's good but isn't as good as Dan's suggestion.

I would say soup is a must.

What's up with Pitopia on 34? It became such a mess.

Anyone know when they are reopening?

Fried pickles, lamb burger. Although I haven't had anything that I didn't like there yet.

Any don't-miss items at Noi Due? Anything we should definitely skip?

We shared:
Mac-and-cheese balls
Spinach ricotta cigars
(Sauceless) truffle pizza
Chilean sea bass in wine/thyme (we wanted Sole, but they were out of that, fish came with one side side, the other we paid for)
-Side of Risotto 10/10
-Side of salad
Dolce de lece (cake) for dessert
-Iced cappuccino
Tab was $130 after tax before (optional) tip.

Everything was delicious, but ambiance put a damper on things.
Food: 10/10
Service: 8/10 (great, but too casual for such a fancy place)
Ambiance: 7/10 (small, crowded, but great decor)

Personally will go back to Va Bene instead of going back to Noi Due.

Eh. I'd take better food over better ambiance.

Eh. I'd take better food over better ambiance.

Food was equally excellent at both, IMHO. Va Bene more authentically Italian.
