Been to Wall St Grill twice. Service is very attentive (high waiter:table ratio), probably the most of any restaurant that I know of.

Beef Jerky and Corned Beef Flatbread go down as some of the best dishes in NYC. Burger is probably the best in NYC. Not everything on the menu is good, e.g. the Olive Oil cake is an imitation of La Regence in the King David but not half as good as the original.
i'm loving the ability to eat good kosher food in a nice atmosphere (and outside) on a sunny day in the city. also, i finally had their lunch prix fixe burger (topped with short rib and onions) medium rare, and it was really glorious. its hilarious when u come for lunch the bottom floor is empty and the roof is full :).

Yes. The renaissance of Kosher restaurants is incredible.

Any Barnea reviews?
I didn’t find anything I had there great. The filet de beouf wasn’t great tasting nor cooked perfectly. For appetizer we had their lamb riblets. They were quite bland tasting and the short rib gnocchi was just average. The desert menu is something to be desired. Lastly, the ambiance doesn’t compare to reserve cut. Not worth the money.

Went to barnea recently for dinner was mostly unimpressed especially at that price.
Highlight of the night with definitely the gnocchi, lamb and arancini were very good as well.
Cote de beuf was mediocre, not in the same stratosphere as mikes and second rate even to the ones at Doma & Le marais.
Took over an hour between appetizers and mains, and while you can't judge a book by its cover the kitchen did not seem to be in any rush whatsoever, from what we could see through the glass window people were just standing around and talking.

had to go back for tuna ribbons and that burger. So hard to work after it, but it’s so worth it.

Barnea review:

Lamb riblets: Out. Of. This. World. 20/10. Would go back just for that.
Drinks were great.
Rack of lamb. Great.
Filet de bouef. Good (I was stuffed, so maybe I couldn't judge so well) . But the cook was the most perfect cook I've ever seen on a steak. Literal perfection.
Short-rib gnocchi was good.
Beef tartare was great per my colleague.
Deserts: Carrot cake was great per colleague.
Flourless chocolate cake was good, but nothing special. Pesach cake lol.

Service was extremely attentive and great. Perhaps best from anywhere I've been to. I chatted with Josh afterwards. Really nice guy.

I was going to, because of your review, but was persuaded by colleague and waiter to rather order that. Shouldn't have.
I btw told Josh that I came because of your raving review.

Is it just me or does anyone else think good restaurants make a mistake over expanding. Its very had long term to be full to capacity and having a smaller space with a demand will help with the long term viability of a place. (Although I really do not know anything about the restaurant industry except the I see places come and go faster then the tzedakah collectors in a minyan factory)

+1000 its a big issue with restaurant owners to expand like that, every table u add means that u have to have the staff, food, utensils, to serve them. And u gotta fill those tables to make $$$
