Went to WSG again. Tuna ribbons, Thai beef jerky, Rib Chop steak, Brownie, and fruit jewel were excellent. Enjoyed the duck dumplings. The Bone Marrow crusted steak was very dry and not good. 3 apps + 2 steaks + 2 desserts + 2 water + bottle of wine = $360+tip.

Some more wsg stuff

Beef Wellington (only Sunday night), was interesting (and really juicy) but prob wouldn’t get again when I can get 3 apps for the price:

Brownie smore thing (I like olive oil cake a lil better but good for chocolate people and their pareve ice cream is way too yummy/creamy)

Perfect burger shared (made me feel better about myself)

Poke bowl (pretty good but I didn’t love it and u can’t customize to exactly what u want).
Literally the best butternut squash soup we ever had (and we are soup people). Not available every day though.

Tried the new Center Cut kosher stand at the Time Out New York Food Court at Empire Stores in Dumbo last night. It is run by team from Reserve Cut. Had the beef shawarma wrap and grilled chicken wrap. They had 6 or 7 items on the menu (hot dog, burger, turkey sandwich, pastrami sandwich, etc.) Food was good, but definitely pricey. Overall, a fun venue and great to have an option for kosher food. While they are located on the ground floor and have some limited counter seating, there is a rooftop seating area with great views of Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges and lower Manhattan.

They can always bring them back later.....

At least they reopened. Usually when restaurants “move” they never end up reopening

EK should be irrelevant to the kashrus discussion IMO

Why would I pay $21 for a burger that must be served medium well and has no sides when I can pay $17 for a delicious juicy burger cooked however I want it from Le Marais that comes with fries and salad?

I wish them luck, they're gonna need it.

not everyone knows about the Le Marais Burger. How much should they be charging for a burger? How much was it before?

That's a shame. It's excellent!

ABC burger was $15. $21 without so much as fries is just crazy.

Breakfast Burger was $19, now $27.

Those are some hefty increases!

R Dan, u and i may not want to pay for that, but you are not dating on the upper west side or meeting up with friends after work near your apartment. Amsterdam was regularly busy (u had to wait to get seats at prime times all week) and with supply and demand they prob think they can pull off the higher prices if they have reservation seating, and the pricing is important bc people like to stay and shmooze there. I get it, and if noone shows up they can just lower the prices back down.
plus that space is prob going to be a pretty expensive lease after a couple years...

Is the LM deal all day of only for lunch? The LM burger is a phenomenonal deal (I get take out from there every few weeks), but my impression is it's lunch only.

You can also substitute roasted potatoes for no extra charge.

The French dip sandwich is only $2 more and is likewise really good.
