Can I get a current rating of the UN Plaza Grill (possibly for our anniversary). ElAl Matmid sent a 20% off coupon. Or should I stick to the Loft since I live in Flatbush?

Its definitely better than the Loft. I really like it, but most people swear by reserve cut, barnea bistro, and mike's Bistro

I LOVE Mike's but it's pretty expensive. Is Un Grill as expensive? Also, I have the 20% off.
BTW, just my opinion, Mike's FAR outweighs Reserve Cut.

Don't know exact prices but all prices should be on their website. I stopped going to Mike's as they don't really change up their menu and I don't like their specialties (not that they aren't good but they are not the types's of food that I like to eat) I feel like reserve cut switches up their menu so at least you can try new things.

I went to UN Plaza once for dinner and loved it. I reviewed it in this thread.

Sounds like UN Plaza beats out The Loft, even if I have to drive to Manhatten from Flatbush. Thanks.

Finally made it to Wall Street Grill recently and was not too impressed

That being said we went on a Saturday night when they do not have any steak specials so maybe some of their specials are really good

We were able to sit on the roof top enclosed terrace which was very nice! They have indoor seating as well. The restaurant is next door to the Andaz Wall Street

We got 3 appetizers (not because we needed too but because a lot of them sounded great and we weren't sure when we would have time to come back)

1-Crispy Rice topped with guacamole (They have fish options as well but I don't eat fish) -$25 excellent

2-Crispy Thai Beef -$25 excellent as well

3- Kame's crispy chicken- $27 I would skip this. The flavor wasn't great and the chicken did't taste good as well, it was too chickeny

We got 2 steaks as well:

1- Rib Chop 20 OZ on the bone (they sliced it for us) Was a little dry but pretty good but nothing I would go back for

2- 133 degree WSG steak 12 OZ  only served medium rare, very juicy, overall very good but again nothing to write home about

We also added on a side of mashed potatoes: $12 They were excellent

We shared a dessert:

Caramel chocolate dome $15 was above average

All in all I still prefer reserve cut if I am going to this area

Which ever hashgacha you hold of call them and ask them which restaurants they supervise

Am scouting out Thanksgiving options and remember our Bedford on Park experience Thanksgiving two years ago. here is their thanksgiving menu, two years ago was the same or very similar:
https://www.greatkosherrestaurants.com/kosher_images/uploads/446136711menu_Bedford_Updated_Thanksgiving_Menu.pdf

The food (besides for the mediocre Turkey stuffing, more on that later) was good but the service was awful.

They served each main with yams, not stuffing or broccolini as offered on the menu. Claimed it was a choice even though the menu states differently and they didn't offer a choice when we ordered. After we insisted they brought us two scoops of what they claimed was stuffing, looked like pale cement spheres and tasted worse than they looked. The served us a couple of emaciated broccolini sprigs after we were already done with our entrees.

One of us ordered "Mixed sorbet and berries" for dessert. There weren't any berries included even after we asked.

I think this is the first time I left a proper sit down restaurant without leaving a tip. Don't plan on returning anytime soon...

OTOH, Gruit's Thanksgiving Menu looks amazing, but I'm not sure the $95/pp prix fixe (plus a ridiculous unspecified "General fee") is worth it.
