Company Chanukah Party.
Not large.
Budget not an issue.

Where should I make it?
I've been already in Loft, Mike's Bistro, Reserve Cut, Barnea etc. Love all of them. Which one would you recommend?
Wall st grill

The problem is that Izzy's is for when you're in the mood for good stuff at lunch on a regular business day...

I've never not been in the mood.
Plus you can choose from sandwiches or ribs/brisket.

Go when he makes pastrami and it's a real treat.

I still think that the loft beats everyone with food, quality, price, size and service combined when looking at the big picture

I don't know why , but most restaurants can up their game with service when spending so much money , i love the heimish kick that is added to the food at the loft , i was at wall street grill , i wasn't wowed at all but not bad ,the service was a disaster

Barnea Bistro Review

So lets start with this, we we're a party of 6 people who all showed up within 10 min of our reservation, and yet we waited 25 min to b seated, although they did bring us some champagne to keep us happy,

After waiting for over an hour for are appetizers we can finally smell the food.

We got the.
Lamb riblets 11/10 was the best lamb riblets I've ever had in a restaurant.
Smoked bq ribs 7/10 great but nothing exciting.
Beef carpaccio 9/10 phenomenal was maybe missing that extra kick to get it to a 10/10.
Beef tartare 6/10 basically a very bland chopped up beef carpaccio with a raw egg on top.
Salmon tartare solid 9/10 i love raw fish/meat so this talks to me.
Short rib gnocchi 9/10 really really good gnocchi.

Mains
All the mains came a bit more well done than what was ordered.

Lets start with the homerun,
The Cote De Bouef 10/10 was phenomenal great flavor pretty tender not the best steak I've had but pretty much up there (it has a very interesting rub).
Rack of lamb 8/10 was great.
Duck 5/10 wasn't as moist as duck should b and not very flavorful.
Delmonico steak 6/10 its a good steak.

Deserts.
I took 1 bite and it stayed at that... its shameful how a they charge $16 for a peice of commercial crap (we tried all of them besides the upside down banana thingi).

Im not very into cocktails but the woman at the table said its good.

My final thoughts,
Thier menu is pretty small and i feel like u can get much better and a bit cheaper at Noi Due Carne,
While the food was pretty good, portions are definitely on the smaller side, and i think it was expensive ($1150 for 6 people, 3 of which don't really eat that much) and i did not feel stuffed when i left (which some people like but i personally would want to b stuffed after spending this amnt) the beginning and end were bad but the center was pretty good.

P.s. im wrting this after a few classes of wine and in the late hours of the night... lmk what y'all think.
Did you had lamb riblets at nobo ? Wall st grill ? Loft ? Does it beat it all of them? then my next outing will be there iy"h

Nobo yes, WSG no, loft yes about 1000 times, and beats them both besides which the loft downgraded their lamb appetizer when they switch it around about 1+ year ago.

Noga is long closed.... they lasted longer then i thought ... it's not a neighborhood to make business with a high end kosher restaurant, in Manhattan you either need jewish locals +visitors +businesses, unfortunately lower east side is dead of all of them
