I’m sure you can order a drink for pickup. They do do takeout.
Great, thanks

Haven't been to Rothschild yet. How does it compare to the other stars, eg Barnea, Doma, RC?

Rothschild TLV "TLDR" Review:

Ambiance very nice; I like the booth seating. (We sat inside.)
Prices are -- gasp -- even more than Barnea. Menus below. (Sorry food pics suck; lighting was terrible.)
I'm happy to have experienced it -- it has a great vibe -- but given the food (comments below) and the price ($600ish), I'd probably return to Barnea or others first.

Apps ordered:

1) Charcuterie platter app special ($75) = off-the-chain delicious. Glad I didn't ask price before, because I would've been scared away. I believe the server said the salad (which appears to have truffles on top) came with the board, so perhaps that offsets the final price of the board a bit?
2) Black Risotto (Forbidden rice, wild mushrooms, truffles, corn cream and short rib) -- I got "menu murdered" a term I heretofore coin to mean the menu made it seem much better than it was. And, frankly, dish didn't look particularly pretty. I think they'd have been better off using something other than forbidden rice to bring some life to the dish.
3) Holy Ravioli (Saffron & black garlic Ravioli filled with beef cheek, chestnuts, caramelized onions, served with corn cream) -- Menu murdered. At $7 per piece, these things needed be phenomenal, but they weren't even mediocre. Plating was pretty, though.
4) Miami's Cigars = excellent, even if they were $9 (!) a piece.

Mains Ordered (they took a loooong time to come out):

1) Short Rib = OK. The short ribs at Mikes and ETC are substantially better and larger portions.
2) Ribeye = The bar for steak was forever set by the one I had at Barnea's. This one, which was more expensive at $75, didn't come close. Some bites were good, while some bites I could taste the fuel used, i.e., seemed the chef let the fire get away from him and I could taste what tasted like uncombusted charcoal or gas on the meat. Maybe he was in a rush? I don't know but it didn't play kindly with a $75 piece of meat.
3) Lamb burger = Excellent, if a bit overcooked.
~) Fries = very good, and nearly perfectly cooked.

Desserts Ordered:

1) None. We were full, sure, but even full people have room for dessert. Issue was none of the desserts looked particularly alluring, especially at $25 each.

Prices are nuts, even for NYC kosher steakhouse standards. If they're gonna charge that, food has to be perfect.

We went to Rothchild a few weeks ago. Was a MS so not full.
Agreed that the ravioli was overpriced and not that good. We also got the shortrib flatbread which was fantastic.
We shared the lamb shank which was great.
We shared the chocolate lovers plate which had some great elements and some less great elements.

Not on the street?
no its a rooftop (like second floor). when it gets warmer/they get full they expand into the park on ground floor next door for extra seating.

Correct I’ve been to WSG & that’s exactly what they have. I ended up by barnea last night, I was seated outside on the sidewalk in a litton sukkah & honestly I didn’t mind it, (a few ppl got their feathers ruffled when a group decided to come out & smoke a J right on the side of the sukkah but otherwise uneventful) was a lot quieter than inside. & of course I need to mention food was amazing!!
