  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Never, but would be neat to see Tabernacle service in J.

Heard from a foodie that everything he had at Tabernacle was top-notch and the salad was indeed a highlight.
Go figure.
My BIL raved about Tabernacle as well

I went to Tabernacle on Monday night.

We made reservations lest week for  6 people for 06:30 PM. They called the morning of to confirm reservation. When we got there, only 4 of us showed up. They sat us at the bar until because they were "getting our table ready". When we were seated i immediately wanted to order appetizers but was told that "chef wants the entire order is at once". Honestly I don't care what the Chef wants. I'm freaking hungry and I want food now. I'm not interested in waiting until everyone decides what to order and then wait again for the appetizers to come out. I kind of feel that if I customer ask for something, you say yes. Especially when their meal is more than your weekly salary. In general I felt that the service was very intrusive and I felt that I was constantly being surveilled. I mean as soon as I finished my glass of water it was already filled. Empty plates were instantly cleared of the table. It felt really creepy. We didn't have any privacy. The service also felt very pretentious. Especially how they explained the history and story around the Caesar salad. It was very much.

The food was delicious though.

I ordered

Lamb Rilletes (Order Again)
Spare Ribs (Skip)
Flanken (Okay)
Beef Jerky (Okay)
Surprise Steak (Delicious, Tad Salty. Order Again)
Potatoes (Skip)
Fries (Okay)

They also take things off the menu. So not necessarily do they have everything that is posted online.

Sorry, but the chef absolutely gets to decide how you need to order. Running a kitchen is extremely difficult, and having a guest throw a wrench in the works by trying to get you to do something differently is setting yourself up for disaster. The more expensive the more chance they'll be particular about such things.

5* service is literally that i don't want to have to wait 30 secs to drink my next sip of water, they might want to take a few steps back so u feel more private.
