Why was my experience different?

They didn't make the salad at the table.

They didn't show the piece of meat.

They didn't refund the unchewable steak.

Anyway, I'm happy to hear that they are constantly looking to improve and are inviting constructive criticism.
I blame it most times on the waiters, the difference of having a good or bad one. Another point is since Covid a lot of the restaurants are half empty and have much more time to care, not giving them an excuse just explaining. It’s also one of the reasons that I like restaurants that you tip the waiter directly.

And they add the tip automatically at Tabernacle. No choice.

exactly what I’m saying, it gives them no reason to perform better.

Went to Mocha Red Monday night...

Place is very nice... They have loud music, so if you don't like that I would stay away. Also the area is not the greatest area

Steaks aging as you walk in!

Drinks:

Chechen Itza- (margarita) $22 7/10

Teruahhhh- $22 8/10 (rum/passion fruit/mango)

Appetizers:

Olives $9 nothing special

Smoked pull brisket tacos 5.5/10 $24

Guacamole- made fresh at the table so I had to get it to make up for not getting the Caesar Salad at Tabernacle 5.5/10 $24

Mains:

Private Collection Steak (surprise) 10 OZ $85 10/10 was amazing!

Prime Short rib burger with fries $45 8/10 but for $45 I expected better

Sides:

Crispy Brussel Sprouts $19 my wife had a couple, claimed it was good I'll take her word for it

Dessert:

Churros: $24 (I think) 10/10 Fresh and amazing!!

Overall, I would go again and probably not order appetizers as I don't think I would like the other ones. But for the more adventurous eater there might be some good apps

Odd. Seems like they do that for everyone else.
Didnt do it for me either, Plus filet mignon was cold when they brought it out.
Had a great experience otherwise.

Sen Sakana Review

Cool and different experience!
Service and was very good, location is nice
If you go get the fish stuff since its not a steakhouse.
Dessert wasn't good otherwise if you go for this style its a must.

Nice concept. What is this Dov Tov hashgacha?
seems the main rabbi Rav Steinfeld (formerly of Kehilla kashrus for 20 years) has great credentials and appears chareidi, but the hechsher still doesnt have much press/info.
