skip the mains and stick to more apps and deserts.

I feel that's where the chefs really show their creativity, and therefore you get a really unique variety. As opposed to mains, where there are like 10-20 different options possible and that's it; and once you've had a steak in one steakhouse you've had them all.

This just is not true, but the exceptions are admittedly rare.

I’m nearly positive I’ve seen you write nearly this exact post before. Weird. @TimT

I can make an amazing steak etc at home. This is why I generally order only appetizers at (higher end) restaurants - I feel like the creativity and unique dishes/flavors are there, as opposed to entrees which are typically "boring".

4) what was *the best* sushi dish there?
I liked Sen Sakana Green Dragon Roll.
Favorite dishes were Empanadas and Jap eggplant. Dumplings good too. Didn't like the beef skewers.

Good Peruvian beer on the menu.

Is there any restaurant in Manhattan that's open past 12 on a weekday? I know there used to be, but the few I called told me that they close earlier these days.

Thank you

Haven't been in Mike's Bistro in a while.

There's a reason it's still packed after so many years. Everything is still phenomenal. Had almost everything on the menu lol. Privilege of being with a number of people. Appetizers are a lot better than the mains.

Get the pigeon soup, which is a pretty new addition.

Pretty limited, only 5 options for dessert. Chocolate pecan cake was great.

P. S. Nobody asking for your... upon entry.
