I'm curious about the halachic ramifications of this presentation.
Is the bread eaten?
What's the potential issue?

Not allowed to use bread as a utensil unless also eating it.

Picolino Jerusalem also served an onion soup in bread bowl, but I believe one would scrape the inside of the bread while eating it.

Very much so yes. So good.

It's used as a sealant for the pot to keep moisture in.

Bagel King in Lakewood serves soup in a bread bowl. Actually just had it yesterday. (I never heard of this Halacha before.)

i need to take out a group of clients to dinner somewhere classy that also will provide good options to someone that is gluten free/celiac. Anyone have any experience on this/recommendations? obviously steak is fine, but looking for a place that has the competence to say this is or isnt gluten free and just shows itself as accomodating.

Wait a second, is the salad grilled?
Had grilled salad.

Didn't care for it.

Also chef updated Risotto recipe, it's awful now.

Flanken was incredible.

Guy with 1 year old triplets flies to NYC for the salad twice in a month, before guy in CH makes it even once for a free salad.
