Wsg has private rooms also
their private outdoor area (to the left of the rooftop main area) is great for a group of 8 (or more). we had a going away party for a partner there last year and if the weather is nice (they do have a few heaters) it is amazing and totally separate. Note im related to one of the minority owners.

Just went to mocha lux was pretty good but it has nothing in common with the mocha burger, completely different menu even the burgers are different. The original location’s burgers are way better.

This is their second hechsher. Interestingly the rabbi of tiferes Yisroel is the same name as the Kashrus consultant of NKS. Trying to get some more info on this second hecsher.

This is making official what already was.

My Kashrus contact coordinated with him from the start.
FWIW, I spoke to someone in kashrus who looked into it and said that Malka and Sabas West Side are 100% mehadrin min hamehadrin but that all NKS places should be looked into individually.

Obviously, everyone should ask their own authority.

That being said, Malka is very overrated IMHO. We were all left disappointed.

Anything else interesting open of late?

Interesting. Are you able to share what he did to make it better than standard NKS? & does he give this hechsher anywhere else or it’s just a secondary hechsher he can put on NKS restaurants letting ppl know this restaurant is a step above?

I guess the hype was too much, I felt the same way about Miznon. Did you get the shnitzel everyone talks about?

Yes we were disappointed too (the beet carpaccio and the tiny bits of lamb bacon on their bacon potatoes were great, and olive oil cake was quality (though not at WSG level), the rest was meh and drink subpar...
Not Manhattan, but been to Novo on Central in 5T twice now and really enjoyed...

Yes. That was the best item, but it was expensive and only OK. The twist is that it has mashed potatoes inside, but the potatoes were bland. But at least it was edible, versus some of the other items we got.

This has prob been asked a thousand times... Which steakhouses in the city carry Lubavitch meat?
