Anyone been to Bonito 47.
Seeing the menu online - the Steak Omakase 10 course looks intriguing  ;D

There's also a prix fixe $42 lunch menu
Basically Barnea. Apps were good, entrees terrific.

Different vibe/decor. Bonito much more modern. I prefer Barnea. I believe the menu at Barnea has more options as well. I forgot to mention that the sushi according to the group i went with, was excellent as well.

bonito 47 lunch special is a big difference maker, I’ve been to old bonito, new bonito and Barnea in the last 6 weeks, and gotta say I wasn’t impressed with any of them esp considering price (I liked Barnea more in the past), though I loved the touch of giving hot towels after the wings at bonito. Service was excellent.

Can't go wrong with Barnea or Tabernacle. Pricey though.
Le Marais is the best value.

Thanks.  I think I'm going to try Barnea. I enjoy both other options but I have been to both numerous times.

Enjoy. Don't miss the Patatas bravas, short rib gnocchi, Pepper crusted Oyster Steak, shooting star cocktail, or the Key Lime Pie.

Correct. Zero innovation in 30 years. You don't dine here to be impressed.
But also, an affordable steak dinner out on the town.

Anything dairy (9 days) but more to the better side, with a more heimish Hashguche than the OU?
I’m not opening a kashrus discussion, just asking a question and including my preference….
Preferably in the west side area but anywhere in the city is good.

But also, an affordable steak dinner out on the town.

Exactly - no new flavor combinations, nothing avant-garde, but just beautifully done, delicious basic steak. Done the way it's ordered.

Nothing fancy, just delicious, and affordable.

I recently went to a different steakhouse that's generally highly recommended...ordered a medium rare steak. First bite was OK - a bit cold, flavor meh...and it went downhill from there. A few bites in and the steak was medium/medium well. I showed it to the waitress, and they agreed to bring a new one - night and day. The second steak actually came out hot, medium rare, and delicious! But I find myself so curious what the deal was with the first round.

With Le Marais, I've never had that - they're consistently on target.

What I’m looking for is cholov Yisroel, pas Yisroel and Mashgiach temidi through a reliable Hashguche.
The answer on what is considered heimish is probably depending in which community you live so that is “heimish” to you… but again my attention is not a kashrus discussion…
Any good ideas?

Abaita is the best dairy restaurant in the US and meets all of those for me, under the OK.
Advance reservations are essential.

You aren't giving people much to work with of you don't specify what types of hechsherim you are looking for. For CY, PY you can find OU restaurants that specify that supervision. All OU restaurants are mashgiach temidi.
