To make it even more appealing than shlepping into NYC is that you don't have to worry about parking! ;)

I only did mikes bistro and all I can say is that it is really amazing. It did set me back about 260 though for me and the mrs.
Wow, what did you eat?
Usually when we go out we split an app and each get a main and if we're still hungry split a dessert. IIRC should not be more than $160 there
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

We did the chef's special in which you order it at least 24 hours in advance (I ordered it that morning and it was fine) and you get a full tasting menu. They will ask you how you like your meat etc. IIRC there are about 9 courses! All small portions of course however after nine courses you will be really full. The price is 100 per person, add to that drinks and tips you have an easy 260! These days I mainly go to Prime Ko though, although that can get horribly get into the deep 3's....

apps: lamb belly,
how was it prepared? lamb belly, better known as lamb breast is >50% fat (which lends well to curing and smoking to make lamb bacon)

I dont know what the description on the menu is but the meat was very lean and very soft.  It was served on a bed of leek puree with sweet potato crisps. it was the first time i had lamb and i could not believe how soft and flavorful it was!

I absolutely do, but I can only recommend it rare.

It is not always on the menu, so you should ask them for it.
