I just love Mike's but you folks seem to be raving about Abigails. How does it compare with Mike's prices (which are astronomical) and where is it located, please.

Their Carnivores Delight is great if you like short ribs. Otherwise their reg rib is also great.
Also really love the mushroom polenta as a starter.

I find Abigail's better priced, and larger portions. I was @ mike's a little over a week ago food is always great - portions seem to be getting smaller

Also Abigails has large round tables and side rooms if your going out with family or friends and dont want to sit cramped on a small square table for 4

Here is the story told by the Staff Reporters at Kosher Today:

Menachem Sendrowicz and Henry Stimler believe their model for a kosher restaurant is rife for today's upscale kosher diner that may not necessarily fit the mold of more traditional kosher diners. They called their SoHo Restaurant Jezebel, served high-end wines that were not mevushal (cooked), featured some risqué artwork and sought to blend great kosher food with events more common with the popular culture. The food at Jezebel received excellent reviews, which was another point the two young entrepreneurs wished to make. Just because it's kosher does not mean it can't be of superior quality and taste.
But in a letter to investors several days ago, the Jezebel owners announced some major changes in their business model that they hope will ingratiate the restaurant with traditional upscale kosher diners: "In order to do that we have taken the following initiatives: We are going to switch to a different kosher certification, namely the OU (Orthodox Union) which is the most widely recognized certification. It will open up an entire key kosher clientele that currently does not  eat at the restaurant."

"We expect this to be implemented as soon as next week. We believe that focusing on the kosher is the best way moving forward in maximizing occupancy. Everyone we have spoken with supports this move. The main concession with the OU for their certification is our name and non-mevushal wine program. Therefore, going forward we will "officially" change the name to J Soho (it's the closest thing to Jezebel and we are keeping the logo.)...The former manager of La Carne Grill and Prime at the Bentley, Mourad Abid has started as GM this week."

Stay tuned for more details.

Thanks.

Anything else?

Can't go wrong with the jack Daniels steak. Also the steak fajita salad is excellent. So, as mentioned, the beef egg roll is VERY good.

Solo going dairy! per greatkosherrestaurants

In a Midtown neighborhood where pizza is scarce, Joey Allaham, who owns Solo, a kosher meat restaurant in the Sony building, is opening a little takeout pizzeria with a singular product: kosher pies with dairy products but no meat. Overseeing the baking is Giulio Adriani, a certified Neapolitan pizzaiolo who is the chef and owner of the Forcella restaurants.

Finding flour and San Marzano tomatoes that were kosher was a challenge, Mr. Adriani said, but the mozzarella and ricotta are made in-house. The 10-inch pizzas are baked to order in a wood-burning oven; classic margherita heads a list of more than a dozen varieties. It's worth the splurge for the truffle, made with ricotta, arugula, pecorino, high-quality truffle oil and, while they last, shaved black truffles ($38).

You may be familiar with the term glatt kosher, which applies to meat that's super-inspected; the pizzeria is Cholov Yisroel, an equivalent term for dairy. In a few months, Mr. Allaham plans to convert Solo into a kosher dairy restaurant. (Opens Monday): 550 Madison Avenue (56th Street), (212) 602-1808.

I heard that it isnt replacing Solo, rather opening next door to it.  Not sure about the accuracy of this though.

Is there two separate announcements? The pizzeria as well as a dairy restaurant?
