Need to take out a couple of coworkers to a nice dinner in midtown. I am a big steak guy and they love to drink :(.

Wolf and Lamb is too loud.

I narrowed it down to Le Marais (not fancy enough?), Abigaels and Solo. Where should I go?

nothing like le marais, try and sit upstairs

From great kosher restaurants
We just got a call from the owner of Solo,
notifying us that the the midtown restaurant in
the Sony Building will be turning dairy this Sunday,
under the new name: Solo Dairy Italian Kitchen.
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Suggestions for a date night with the Mrs on Sunday night? Preferably fleishig, doesn't have to be super fancy.
Been to Le Marias, Abigails, Wolf and Lamb plenty of times....looking for something new.
Anyone been to the new J Soho (formerly Jezebel)? ABC (or is this too casual)...Any other thoughts/suggestions?

Personally?  One can never eat at Le Marais too many times..... :) And I don't even look at the menu any more, the Hangar Steak is just to good.

Ended up trying J Soho.  Was impressed with the food.  Very fresh. A bit pricey (but hey thats NYC!).  They forgot about our dessert order and we waited 20 minutes.  One of the servers came upto us and asked if we were waiting for anything...and waited another 10-15 minutes for our dessert.  There was a large family (12 people) at the tables next to us which seemed to be related to a worker and their food was delivered very speedily.

Went to Prime at the Bentley.
Ambiance: A
Food: B+ (sushi, 2x steaks, kobe sliders, triple chocolate cake)
Service: F!!
1. They were out of many of the popular dishes - Ribs, reserve steak, black and white cake, etc.
2. Waiter was having numerous conversations while taking our orders.
3. T to water being placed on our table 30 minutes.
4. T to have bread placed on our table 40 minutes.
5. Our glasses were empty for at least 15 minutes before we had ask for refills - at least twice.
6. I had to ask for a drinks menu. Waiter never returned to find out what drinks I wanted.
7. Steaks delivered without steak knives.
8. Requested steak medium. Came pretty rare (my wife is pregnant so we sent it back). Upon return, steak knife was missing again. Waiter had already run away, so had to wait to ask for another.
9. Dessert came with a dirty fork.
10. I don't think service once without having to ask, the entire evening.
etc. etc. The staff were friendly but COMPLETELY unattentive and distracted.
It may just have been one of those nights, but seriously...!!

What was the name of the restaurant that was the reincarnation (no pun intended) of Le Carne Grill?  I think it was in Queens?  Anyone get there before it closed?

Went to the Dairy reincarnation of Solo last night but once the waiter came by and told us that most of the menu was unavailable we got up and left

We ended up at Prime at the Bentley and had our usual experience there. Great views, Average ambiance and food and almost non-existent service. I think that its the kinda place that you go to once for the experience.

The new Prime Grill can't open sooner.

That makes mikes bistro the only kosher place on savored?

Has anyone recently made a reservation with savored at Mikes Bistro?

I just tried using Dans Link and it seems the only time ever available is 5:30?

Le Marais is great but you'll be seated mere inches from another couple in all likelihood.

And sometimes you can hear some wonderfully entertaining conversations....
