was he bought out? because he was a part owner.
Seth is still part owner and has input in the overall running of the restaurant. My impression is that he is no longer there on a day to day basis running the kitchen. However, a chef that he has trained is running the kitchen in his place.

Why a did he leave?

Was told by an ETC employee that he is "pursuing something new." The employee didn't elaborate.

My parents were in RC last week, and they loved it. The ambience, the service, the food, they enjoyed it all. And they're usually very picky and finicky about bad service. Bill was $500 for 4 people which sounds fair.

Funny story, the day they went, someone was stabbed in the kitchen a couple hours earlier and they (my parents) never found out until the next day.

I heard the Hatzoloh call when it happened. What was that all about? Someone not happy with the bill?

I think it was a disgruntled worker against another worker.

Was at RC twice and had the opportunity to try many things on the menu. Overall pretty solid place, but I cant say that everything on the menu is excellent. A lot of things were average.

First off their Sushi is overall outstanding.

Cold Appetizers: Out of all the cold appetizers I would only recommend the RC Crispy Rice (similar to Crispy Rice at the Prime's i.e. KO, Bentley and TPG).
Tuna Tartar was decent, but not as good as the Crispy Rice.

Hot Appetizers:

Fortunately I've been spoiled by Tevere 84's Sweetbreads and have yet to find a place that can top it.

The Lamb Merguez was excellent my first time there but terrible the second. How so? First time it was a stuffed Shishito Pepper with lamb and couscous inside. The perfect heat with the slight gamey taste..a really delicious middle eastern styled appetizer. Second time it was a 3 lamb sausages over a bed of couscous with some remnants of the Shishito Pepper sliced in it. I didn't like it. Asked the Chef why he screwed around with a great appetizer and he said he was having a hard time finding large enough peppers. I told him how I liked it better the way it was..and he agreed. If someone goes please ask the waiter if he switched it back.

Grilled Wagyu Angus Ribs was pretty good. It was so soft it melted in my mouth.

Entrees: I love fish, but would never take it over a med-rare and tender steak. So I cant comment on anything other than the meat.

The Angus Filet Au Champignon was a pretty solid steak, but it wasn't anything too exciting

The Wagyu Beef Short Ribs would be good as an appetizer. But the flavors were too strong to eat too much of it, and I wouldn't recommend it as an entree.

The Colorado Rack of Lamb was beyond words. I remember watching Gordon Ramsey make this on youtube. It was Wasabi crusted and simply incredible.

I also had a Delmonico Steak that was off the menu, but was also delicious. IMO I wouldn't take it over the chops. But if lamb is not your thing then I'd recommend this.

Deserts: All were too sweet for me, and I didn't like a single thing I tried.

Nobody was stabbed. The worker was just chasing another worker with a knife.
