so this was my second time eating there , first time at a DO , and had a good experience, this time i must say wasnt good.

Service sucked, they stuck us in the only empty table back corner. waiter didnt come to us until i pulled him to our table and after he brought our main course i didnt see him since. we had to call 3 diff waiters every time we wanted something.
7 min after my order or so for Rib eye, i got my steak. ive never had a steak made so fast!! apparantly it was pre cooked, and it wasnt hot , so i sent it back to warm up, and when it came back it lost all its taste really.
anyways we never got offered water refills , and i ordered warm chocolate cake for desert which never came .

so we asked for the bill , that never came either. so we decided to start walking out , and on the way out we asked for the bill, and he started asking who our waiter was , so we told the guy we didnt have one and we paid for the bill  - obviously no tip and ill have to re-consider going back there!
+1 similar experience. Terrible service. Mediocre food

Last time I was there was the last DO. Has it gone downhill?
I don't know anyone who got the pepper steak with fries and called it mediocre.

Can't say I ever had such a bad experience there ever.

And their Pepper steak is second to none.  One of my favorite cuts of meat.
Hmm.. Maybe I'll give that a try next time...
I too never had as horrible service as described here.. On the contrary my waiter was quite attentive, I was just unimpressed with the food..

I'm not crazy over "pepper steak" I'm more into the nice steak cuts, like rib eye and I enjoy short ribs etc. but I'm always open to things that come recommended...

Not sure what you're talking about as the LM pepper steak is a beautiful cut of meat, basically just like filet mignon looks like.  Absolutely delicious.  I never get anything else there.
Can't go wrong with the hot chocolate cake either.

Oh.. Hahaha I was under the impression that the pepper steak was some random strips of meat - sold as pepper steak because of the sauce etc.. Lol...
Imitation of filet mignon... Now we're talking!
(I know what filet mignon is - I've actually had it - I know a Menaker who does the back)

+1 for the lamb chili.
As an australian - i have had quite my share of lamb..
'Lamb + chili' is definitely on my list after trying the pepper steak at LM...

What did you get?
first off the place looks great but it does seem a bit too loud.
service was excellent!

the bread was great, not le marais great but great its like a toasted pita with garlic
we were 4 guys who like to eat so we ordered an assortment of appetizers:
- the best appetizer by far was the filet on garlic toast it was absolutely amazing.
- next i would say the pulled beef sliders were excellent.
- the crispy rice with guacamole was a great choice too
- the ribs were pretty good too

now heres the items that we didnt like
- merguez was nothng special
- duck spring rolls were nothing special
- salami flatbread wasnt great
- beef jerky was the biggest disappointment, at le marais we usually order almost a pound, here we barely finished 1 order.

as far as steaks go you really cant go wrong with any of them

And Lamb Chili is a $13 app, so you can kill 2 birds with one stone next time you go.

Although I like Dan have always gone with the Steak au Poivre. Last week I ordered the Côte de Bœuf (Prime rib for one)...another phenomenal steak.

Id like to also agree on the lamb chili..absolutely delicious.

When you say "Pepper steak" do you mean Tournedos “Le Marais”?

just went to reserve cut and got:

Appetizers:
madai ceviche, tuna tartar

Main:
waygu short ribs, duck breast

Dessert:
peanut butter mousse, chocolate cake, brown butter carrot cake

best thing by far was the duck, none of the desserts were great

How does Prime at the Bentley rate with the new Prime Grill? Haven't been to either yet, just PG at the old location and Prime KO and Soho, from the Prime Hospitality restaurant group.
