I've had better at Cafe K

Why?

The chai latte wasn't hot enough and too sweet. Our sweet potato fries could've been done longer. Pizza wasn't hot.

Also didn't love the pizza because I prefer a thicker crust, but that might be just me.

Service was polite, efficient and quick.
Who goes to an upscale dairy restaurant and orders sweet potato fries and pizza??
That's what I order at a pizza shop :P

Hip, maybe

Sorry, it just sounds like you ordered poorly and went at a stupid (read: peak) time.
See the main site for much better items to order.

This is an Italian place- pizza is traditional Italian fare, not necessarily fast food.

but if it were to be one of the best restaurants in the world, they ought to know how to make it good

Didn't find it that expensive. I think it compared very similarly to cafe K. Just it had a much more hip vibe and a drink bar.

PG has said the pizza there is the best.
Personally I don't typically order pizza except from a pizza shop.

Rarely can you judge a dairy rest from a jam-packed motzei shabbos though.  That's hardly fair.

Personally, I don't consider Mac n cheese to be upscale, gourmet, fine dining food. That is not to say that it can't be tasty and hearty.

I would say fine dairy dining would something more along the lines of Orchidea in Brooklyn.

The food should taste the same. And I was very impressed with the service considering how jammed it was.

Combine Basils food and Noi Due service- and I'd have me a winner!

Oh, and I'll use Prime at the Bentley's location.

you can elevate any food to fine dining. mac n cheese is a classic example
