What do you expect when you order a stake. At least they didn't put it through your heart
Well said on both levels!
I love Deli Kaasbah for what it is, a great date place where u should get a sandwich/burger or maybe a combo with a rib or two if adventerous. if you want a steak go to a steakhouse. if you want to spend $20 something for some yummy (but not haute) comfort foods and to catch the rebbe on closed circuit, go to kasbah.

We assume that it doesn't come with charcoal every time. They also always advise my wife that if she is ordering the steak well done, its at her own risk.

Cant agree enough. I've stopped ordering steaks at restaurants. My new thing is just a bunch of appetizers. Every time I order a steak I'm thinking I can do this myself for much better and 1/8 the price.

I ordered it medium-rear and so it was. I went with two friends and we all hated it and were frequent restaurant goers. Even rimon in Isreal which I just went to this week makes a better steak:P

Is there a guide for Manhattan restaurants based on ambiance?

You see so many non-kosher places in ny that are SO nice and elegant, specifically dark candlelit relaxing places to dine. I havent come across many Kosher one but im sure they are out there. Its a shame when a Kosher restaurant is expensive with good food BUT the tables are too close together and it is too bright and noisy.

Maybe someone can add a category to the wiki with ratings based on ambiance?
