Going to RC tonight. Haven't been there in a while. Anyone been there recently? Anything new on the menu I should try?

Beignets were very good and plentiful (for dessert) with good dipping sauces.

Was at RC for lunch today, would note they changed their $40 lunch special to have less options for desert (had to pay extra for beignets), but its still a decent deal. got a steak sandwich and they didnt ask me how to cook and brought it out well done (lesson learned). Was surprised how (half) full it was today, with both rooms open. probably about 60 lunchers.

Did the Mendy's (34th) Groupon deal today (app + 2 drinks and 2 mains, the menu they link to is old http://www.groupon.com/deals/mendy-s-restaurant-1).

we got the "Prime" Rib steak (supposed to be 17 ounces), but was basically a normal rib steak with bone-in, nothing special but nice if u got the whole deal on a discount (but anyone paying 39.95 for it should be slapped silly). though we ordered medium and medium well, they both came the same about medium well.

fried rice was pretty wierd, more of a deli fried rice with lots of peas (just get fries on the side). chicken fingers app was very good, and we got an always great turkey sandwich for the kids. free drinks are any drinks they have, but they are out of beer, so choice was white wine or sodas/snapple. Note of course that u hould tip up to the actual value (no the groupon price), which led me to end up spending about $80 total for the meal with kids (still pretty good for a decent night out).

Perhaps wrong geographic area, but there is a relatively new Kosher restaurant in Stamford CT, called Six Thirteen (under the OU).  I've eaten there a few times already (opened in the end of January).  I have found it to be quite good, and all things considered, reasonably priced.  Definitely high-end dining, nice setting, nice atmosphere, very good food and nice portions.  If it were in Manhattan, it would be among the nicest few restaurants in the city.  As it's in Stamford CT, it's by far the nicest place from Manhattan to Boston.  Worth a trip, IMHO....

Hi, i want to go to a nice restaurant for our Anniversary.
Which do you recommend for good service, good food, and price range for couple, more or less $100:
Wolf & Lamb, Roof on Bentley, or Le Marais? I was already at Abigaels...

I ended up going to Wolf & Lamb on Brooklyn, cuz i didn't have patience to drive far out...!
The food was amazing!!! I spoke with Chef Alex before and mentioned something i had in Shilos in LA: "Tarte Flambé Thin sliced beef bacon, parve crème Fraiche, and grilled onions On thin crust lavazza bread (those are to die for!)" So he said he will make me something similar... He personally delivered the dish: Apricot wrapped with Beef Bacon! It was heaven! The chef is full of passion! All in all, delicious meal, fairly priced. I would go again!

I haven't been to ETC in a few months (or since the Chef left to go to Lakewood, where I hear is also no longer), but if you go to Nobo, get the lamb riblets. Wife is also a huge fan of the veal flatbreads.

I was at ETC about a month ago. The steak wasn't as before, but wasn't bad.

If you're a steak guy/gal, I'd still choose ETC above Nobo.
