Never went to Nobo before the chef left :)

Tried tasting menu at ETC, was great.
:) and once the chef left you won't go back? Maybe the food is still as good, or at least close.

I was at ETC about a month ago. The steak wasn't as before, but wasn't bad.

If you're a steak guy/gal, I'd still choose ETC above Nobo.
Definitely a steak guy/wife's a (hanger)steak gal! Thanks.

I love Nobo get the veal tongue appetizer (it's not on the menu) their short ribs are outstanding and steaks are made to perfection. I never had a dish there that wasn't good.

Surprised no one talked about (unless I missed it) the new Prime Burger which will be located at Prime KO. Supposedly gonna be a similar styled to Gotham Burger. Anyone have more info? Opening day was supposed to be today.

Can't wait.

If the food on the menu is half as good as it looks, it may give ABC a run for its money.

Went to opening night at Prime Burger.

Spoiler: ABC - 1, PB - 0.

Full Review:

Prime Burger is directly downstairs from Prime KO, and, aesthetically, the place is beautiful. Much nicer than ABC, so props there.

We ordered:

Corn Chowder (very good, though could have been hotter), Lamb Chorizo Sausages (good, but only two of them), Crispy Buffalo Wings (underwhelming, not nearly as good as the spicy wings and sauce at ABC), Spicy Lamb Burger with chili on top (good), and the Bulldog Burger (excellent, and is similar to the breakfast burger at ABC).

Now, here's the interesting thing. While the burgers themselves, the actual meat, are better than the meat used at ABC, the whole package doesn't beat the whole package at ABC. Personally, I believe ABC puts crack cocaine in their breakfast burgers as I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat just dreaming about them, and frankly, I won't get that from the Bulldog burger.

FWIW, neither of the appetizers measured up to the delectable yam fritters or wings at ABC.

We ended the meal with a nice piece of blueberry pie, and while good, simply doesn't meet the standard of the peanut butter mouse offered at ABC.

Service was terrible, though I'll chalk that up to it being opening night. (But even so, if I order a lamb burger, the waiter shouldn't be leaning over me to look at my menu and say "the what? oh, yes, let me see here, the lamb burger? Which one is that?")

And lastly, as you'll see from some pictures I'll post B"N, the presentation needs some real work.

In the end, it was definitely a good meal, and I'll probably go back so as to give them a chance to work out the kinks, but for me, ABC still reigns supreme.

Thanks for the review. Do they cook your burger to desired temperature? (unlike ABC which comes out an automatic medium-well  :( )

Good question which I forgot. But, yes, they'll ask you your preferred cooking level. Points for PB on that.

Yep very annoying.

How these guys refuse to provide bottled water is beyond me (they charge $8 for 'bottled water' which is actually tap water purified in their kitchen).
