Any dairy places for brunch.. around 4th and 47th?
Milk and honey is close but worth the drive to Nui Due

Makes no sense to go to a mediocre place when Manhattan is bustling with really excellent food at the same price.
Go back and read the thread. Someone asked about Talia's vs Mendy's, that's it. You're welcome to answer neither.

Don't know why there was such vitriol about my simple question. Anyway, I went to Mendy's with a cousin of mine, and used the groupon. After reading some of your responses, my expectations were quite low to say the least. Surprisingly, the food was really good, and the ambiance was also great.

I wouldn't go without the Groupun, but for $55, I thought it was a great deal. I got a nice steak!

And.... What did you think?

Got the mac cheese balls, was surprisingly VERY GOOD. For main got a sweet potato ravioli, had a bit too much spice in there but besides for that, it was great. Definitely a good overall lunch.

But if you go, make sure to call ahead first. There were a few people waiting when I left. I went at 12:30.

How was?

Was ok.. Nothing to write home about. Wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Got two rolls, the chicken roll and the beef roll, and got the exotica dessert. Dessert seemed like it just came out of the freezer, was all frozen and tasted frozen even though the waiter said it didn't.

On the other hand the edamame was good.  ;D

Gotham Burger in NYC had some interesting fish items on the menu for the nine days

I tried

-Seared honey salmon on garlic spinach and mustard mashed potatoes
-Fish and chips made with lemon sole
-Fried fish sandwich: a tilapia fillet served on a pretzel bun with Cajun slaw

fantastic

I didn't try ....
-Strawberry and fig summer salad
-Blackened salmon served with a classic ratatouille
-Homemade pasta with a spicy vodka sauce
