Is there street parking near reserve cut? It looks like you can't drive all the way to the restaurant on Google maps. Is that true?

There's cheap parking nearby with a validated ticket.

Looking for a place close to museum of natural history(columbus and 77th) to go with young kids for an early dinner. Is Niodue a good choice?

Yup. It's a favorite place of many DDFers.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Anniversary Dinner in NYC
« Reply #1689 on: August 12, 2014, 12:16:35 PM »
I am taking my wife out to celebrate our first anniversary.

We went to Mikes Bistro the other night, often go to Le Marais, and end up at Abigails occasionally as well.

Where should we go (the above is not necessarily excluded)?

Pizza etc should be good. But I think 5-6pm is pretty crowded there.

Reserve Cut!! nothing like it!
I was at reserve cut again today, and really like the place (especially the high value lunch special). But while the ambiance is at the top of all kosher restaurants, I feel the food is a half notch down from prime grill/mikes bistro. Unless u get the reserve cut steak, which is identical to the reserve cut steak at pg , but they only serve that at dinner. And RCs regular ribeye is below Pgs.

Ate at Prime Grill for lunch today. First off, this new location is much nicer IMO. Second, the food today was absolutely delicious! We were a table of 6 and ordered a little of everything. OK, not everything but their lunch menu is quite expansive with a lot to choose from. Chicken & Waffle nuggets, Grilled Wagyu ribs, 2 plates pf Beef jerky, Selection of 5 Air Dried Cured Meat , one guy had a soup. Mains: Chimichurri Marinated 10oz Hangar Steak, Center Cut 14oz rib-eye, and I'm not sure which other steaks for mains. Sides: Sauteed Garlic Spinach, Roasted Artichokes, Fries.  (I needed to look up the menu online to remind myself what we had).

All I had was a coffee for breakfast and this meal which started at 1pm.. I'm still full now at 1030pm.

I'll admit, when I was at the old location with my wife we weren't impressed, felt like it was very crowded and food wasn't great. I wonder if it just tasted better this time because I didn't pay  ::)

Overall 2 thumbs up!

I was at reserve cut again yesterday and must note that the last two times I was there the entrance (out of the elevator where they take you to your table) had a very strong and unpleasant fishy smell. The sushi bar is behind the entrance, but why would it smell like old fish? The sushi I have had there tastes very fresh and great, but the ambiance takes a hot when the place smells fishy. Has anyone else noticed this?
