Mashgichim have a very different role at a Butcher than at a Rest.

Any further comment on La Brochette. Have to conduct an interview lunch today and believe it is the closest kosher place to my office on 45th and Lex . Of late, W&L takes a long time to seat and is packed.

went there today. In the positive: the reataurant was well-air conditioned and not crowded. The food left what to be desired: salmon and hanger steak entrees came raw. The steaks don't come with a side and the fried onions and roasted tomato are rubbery meh. Sushi was ok, but expensive and nothing memorable. Lunch for three, with no alcohol or desert, was $210+tip.
