Went out for closing dinner at RC tonight with a bunch of nonjews, who all generally had a good time and were happy. the Mayor was there with his entourage and the place was full, pretty surprised (and relieved) that this place may stick downtown for the longer term.
I usually love the Reserve Cut ($58) cut of steak, but was convinced to try the wagyu ($90), and i must say it was delicious, but not worth the markup, and i think i like the Reserve cut piece better.
also had the Toro Miso app which i really did not like, did not taste very fresh unless Toro is just supposed to be much more fishy than bigeye tartar or other raw tuna i love there.
short rib taco apps were delicious, and vanilla bean cheesecake was ok, but not great/special.

RC.
We decided we weren't in the mood for steak so went with Murray's falafel and will go for a steak a diff time - we'll prob hit that place up for steaks eventually. Murray's is an old classic for us.
I think RC is more expensive so maybe best to do that when someone else is paying
Money wasn't an issue
What part of Manhattan?
We were midtown west but anything would have been fine had a car and lots of time
Mikes should be your first choice. Reserve Cut your second choice.
Went once to Mike's and found their menu to be too thin. Granted my wife is kind of picky so fatty steaks, duck, lamb and veal are out. Chicken is fine but who wants to go out to a fancy place for chicken. They had just 1 steak on their menu and it was fatty. The ribs looked interesting but we didn't want to both get the same thing. So we bounced after our appetizer salad (which happened to be nasty) and went to prime grill and had an amazing meal.

Went to Noi Due on Motzoi Shabbos. Food was good but wasn't worth the 1 hr wait to be seated. Wasn't cheap either.

You can't go wrong with any of the burger choices it's just a preference of what do you want on it. My wife loves guacamole and their special sauce, I prefer classic with just onions and loading it up with mustard. The point is their burgers are yummy just add what you like :).
The wings are only ok imo.

Best things are the buffalo nuggets, pulled BBQ beef, and the PB mouss
Burger is good but not as good as Milt's or Clubhouse A"H.

+1!
But as I found out the hard way by choosing an empty restaurant across the street from ba ghetto meat in Rome, there is usually a reason why some restaurants are packed and some are empty and it's a bad reason not to go imo :).

Hmm... :-/ we may be a bit early for dinner which might work in out favor.

Thanks good to know! My wife loves guac also, so I'll suggest that to her!

Mmmm. Buffalo nuggets are bone-free? Is it a big enough app for 2 to share?

Although the food is delicious at ABC, also be prepared to be rushed by waiters to finish your meal...
