Correct. But I also believe that it's $2.99 - limit 1. At least that's what the circular that arrived today at my house in Queens said, so I assume it's the same in NJ.
In the past, IIRC I've seen CVS for $2.77/case, no coupons necessary, for spring water, no "purified" %#&@.

Not that I recall, though I think it the sale repeats from time to time.

How often does everyone buy water that they are so worried about saving 36 cents on a case

Well I have a vending business so I sell in quantity, so every penny is multiplied many times. So it actually equals a significant amount at end of the day.

Interesting.  So you mean it comes out cheaper to buy retail than to buy wholesale??!

yes, i too used to sell in yeshiva, and since my dad has a tax id number (his biz) so iused to buy thru coke - soda, vitiman water and powerade and most of the time it ended up being cheaper to go straight to costco, or staples

100%. I'll give you small example, at one point (when I got big enough) I wanted to order from Coke directly, they told me it's $6 for a case of 12pk of soda cans (12 oz.), That's $.50 a can. If you go into your local supermarket chain, they have cans on sale every week or every couple of weeks for something like 3 for $11 or 4 for $12, were talking huge differences.
Great question.

How much do you pay for a 20 once bottle of soda?

To be honest I usually don;t sell 20 oz. unless I get them in a good deal. I usually buy the cans & sometime the skinny 16.9 oz. soda bottles. Cans is where I see a lot of profit. Also the Nestea & Arizona 16.9 oz bottles, there's good profit margin on those when you get them on sale.

yes i too had these q's, so according to coke - they said it all depends on ur tax bracket, (if i recall correctly) and in addition, wal mart and shoprite do huge numbers so they pay less per can, while the small busnisses are forced to pay more,

Yes that's a true point you mention. But there's also something called a loss leader, which is basically that stores will cut even or even lose on an item to get you into their store. So their are many different reasons/explanations given why this is so. But a lot of stores have different deals with the the Companies etc... Yes you bring up a very good point.

Amen. Thanks. I sometimes get on a good deal $3.88 per case of 12pk, so that is $.32 per bottle & the good part is that there is no bottle deposit or tax on them because they are teas, I usually sell the for $1 or $1.25 depending on the location. So we are talking about a 300% profit minimum,
Idk if they are Coca Cola, but it makes no different cause they have separate sales for the Nestea or Arizona.
Hope I answered your questions.

Yes that's what it's called. Thanks very much, "A Loss Leader". Lose on some items to get them into the store to buy other items as well.

Retail or wholesale?  Don't the Arizona's have $.99 written on the can?  Unless you're referring to the bottle..

You mean the deposit doesn't apply for tea??!! :o  What??!  Why the discrimination?  This sounds weird.

I was referring to a retail sale. Yes I'm talking about the 16.9 oz. plastic bottles. Correct no deposit on tea or tax. Yes. Idk why but I know on tea's they don't charge. It may sound weird, but this is the fact that I have experienced. Also on Snapple there's no bottle deposit or taxes.
