In many ways the easiest way to advantage of SBS is internet gc's. There's no need to ask them to swipe 20 cards you just sit there at home and input all the info.
Last year mostly music worked and it just worked for the big break promotion so I would guess that it would work again.
Also last year zundel Berman worked to buy Gc's online, but i dunno about this year.
Any other good ideas? Have the tzedkahs started advertising yet?

Yup, I got the same email from Chofetz Chaim. AKA- RSA. I think it's a good organization, they do good work from what I see.

How do these organizations know that the credits for these transactions are not going to be blocked by Amex? Hasn't Amex made it clear in their terms that charitible organizations are not eligible?

AmEx has not made anything clear yet - the rules have not been released yet. I assume that if AmEx says in the rules that charities aren't eligible, then these organizations won't charge the cards - they will tell the people to spend their $25 elsewhere.

I know people bought gc's from 1800eichlers.com and said that they got credited but the link for gc's seems to be broken. Anyone see how to do it?

Call them and ask how you should do it - they are in the midst of doing site maintenance

Nobody here with friends/connections in Eichlers that can ask him to set up some kind of online gc sale form etc to be charged on the motzei shabos? Zeh neheneh vzeh zeheneh!

I was also angry when I saw that, but anyways you're getting more bang for your buck so I decided to do it anyways
