can i just use my current car insurance to cover my rental for cdw and liability, and just decline all insurances when i rent a car?

Only if you carry full coverage on your car. If you have liability only then it will not extend to a rental

Will not work at all?
I don't think that is right as I heard otherwise from geico.
And for CDW the CC insurance can be used

They will extend the liability coverage to accidents that you may cause to to others while driving the rental vehicle but not damage to the actual car

I am renting a car in LA. Im going for business and pleasure. I have the United business card and gieco insurance. I know in CA there is no liability coverage. Can I decline all insurances (liability, CDW etc)?

You can decline both even without having any insurance. If you use the UMC you'll be covered for CDW but you'll be on the hook for LI in the event of an accident c"v.

Yup they cover in all of US, US territories and Canada. Now I do have full covergae through geico (I lease my car) so obviously YMMV.

Don't see why not. If you have a few minutes read through the T&Cs to be safe.

Good question, I was wondering the same thing.

What's the risk to the account holder? That the ppl won't pay any charges they incur? Anything else?

I have a car rental coming up in Israel. Got approx. 100 USD for 13 days. I have the world mastercard with my Sapphire so I don't plan on taking out insurance but from Dan's post on the main site it seems that I will still need LDW for other cars. What does that usually cost a day?

The price I got from Avis Dollar and Budget included tax but there was no mention of insurance. What should I expect?
