Total noob question here, but what's the best card to use when renting in the US (CA)?
Never rented in the US before.

United gives primary.

United gives primary.

Which to Drago is probably no better than secondary.

Thanks!
So to clarify, I shouldn't be paying for any additional insurance coverage, correct?

Unless you're driving a car not covered, nope.

If I have no primary will my cc (which is secondary) kick in as primary and cover everything within their pay limit?

S/o said that renting in CA may have an impact of the insurance coverage of cc's. Is this true?
Otherwise, I intend to use my SP MC, and I assume that I'll have to pay no additional coverage.
Sounds correct?

And do I need to buy 'Liability only' insurance?
To clarify, I don't have any US insurance since I live in Israel.

Almost all credit cards are fine for CDW if you don't have your own CDW coverage.

For liability, you will only have the state minimum coverage if you don't take that out.  You can be sued if you cause damage/injury/death and you'll only have the minimal mandatory coverage for that state.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

It was discussed recently that in CA there's no mandatory state minimum.

Does Canada (Toronto) have a some sort of liability insurance included ?

EDIT - I called hertz and they said all of their rates in Canada include liability insurance.
