What type of phone do you have? Used to be a breeze to post from my BB , with my new phone its a disaster.

Tapatalk always messed up the unread and with the big screen it's easy to see and read.

LG P999 (a.k.a. T-Mobile G2x), an Android phone. Tapatalk was a waste of three bucks, IMHO.

Tapatalk always messed up the unread and with the big screen it's easy to see and read.

seeing and reading aren't the issue . It's when I'm trying to type and then I need to go back and edit a word the screen is flying all over the place , and I can't get the word I want to edit on  the screen it's flying to the side

That is indeed a problem. When I'm faced with that the big screen is very helpful as I can get the cursor where I want it with one touch, otherwise I just hold in landscape ane the whole text area fits neatly in the width of the screen and I can easily move the cursor without it flying to either side.
