Daughter got a blood test this morning. The lady gave her a strawberry sticker, a star sticker, and a doughnut sticker "for Chanukah".

Was looking for lowish fat snacks. I know I like corn string beans and peas. Went on a taste test for random canned stuff.
String beans is simple and good but not too filling. Creamed corn I can't swallow. Too sweet and mushy and it's not exactly low calories.
Southwest corn was the winner. Plain corn is good this adds a little more flavor to it and a very mild spice

Yeshivas Mir shnitzel and, out of five different starch choices, the yellow (turmeric?) pasta.

Can we get a TR?
1:17 - I was at Hamisada, getting a piece of salmon and two pieces of Yerushalmi kugel as ordered by someone's mother lechovod his birthday.
1:26 - delivery in Meah Shearim.
1:34 - back for lunch in Beis Yeshaya. They had opened relatively early so the place was mobbed. Grabbed a styrofoam plate (Thanks, Rav Nochum z"l - that was one of the many profound effects he had on the world) and plasticware. There was plain boiled pasta, white rice, tomato pasta and yellow pasta (together with the regular bread), and I don't remember what veggies were available. I took the yellow pasta then walked toward the front, where I got a rather large piece of shnitzel from the Ethiopian helper. A quick look told me I wasn't going to get a seat, so I grabbed another plate to cover the food and left.
1:45 - sat down in my Beis Midrash and went up to refill my bottle of water.
1:48 - started eating (mezonos on the pasta and shehakol on the shnitzel (!) and loaded up DDF.
1:50 - posted on the What Are You Eating thread.
1:55 - finished eating and made an al hamichya and borei nefashos.

Total cost: 40 shekel (on the salmon and Yerushalmi kugel - but I'm getting paid $31 for it)
5/5 - worth every penny and then some

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

No Bracha Rishona? If you made the Bracha Rishona in the cafeteria then went to the basis midrash where would the bracha achrona have been said? Also if you ate the rice, what bracha would you have said, and why?
