Came out excellent, especially considering it's my first time making it... :)

(HT to dealer for graciously allowing me the use of his grill, when mine suddenly ran out of gas. :()

Gotta get the exact formula from my brother-in-law, but the basic idea is to copy the Colombian rub from Glatt a la Carte in Brooklyn (he figured out how to mimic their recipe). For now, I used the real thing, which I bought a container of from them before I left for Israel. When I run out, I'm gonna make it myself.

Dan, if you ever decide to visit the Holy Land again, consider yourself invited for a steak dinner DO. No Torino chocolates for dessert, though, as those are milchig. But trust me, we have other goodies... ;)

I'd like to try that. Where can I get it?
And sauce brought from the US?

The sauce is a proprietary recipe formulated by Chef Mark of Glatt a la Carte. They sell bottles of it at the restaurant for about 8 bucks, IIRC. FWIW, I love the sauce so much that I bought an entire gallon to take with me back to Israel.  8)

No worries, had some chocolate mint thins after chili and cornbread tonight.
