Chugging the soup curbside?
It was my recommendation. Simply the best Hot and Sour soup ever.

Their sesame beef (crispy chicken) as awesome.
I figured out the secret though, there is hardly any meat, is all batter!
Now ya tell me.

Actually TSA hasn't stopped me the past 2 times with it.  Prob b/c it's in that big bag with so much other junk in it.
However the soup was not good today. I've had it in the past when it was awesome but it was way off.

Steak (filet mignon) and lobster. Early valentine’s dinner at home. Filet was excellent considering it was cooked in the oven. Does not grill well in this cold temperature outside.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Our grill is on the patio and the wind just whips through there. Plays havoc with the grill temperature.

Nope. Maui grown pineapples are just really sweet and have lower acidity than other pineapples.

When it's cold and windy on my 6th floor balcony (well, on that side of the building, it's actually 8 floors), I can grill the basics on my Weber, but anything that requires a steady temp is a nightmare.

speaking of delicious 'imported' fruit, we tried including 8 amazing mangoes from St. Thomas in our luggage back to the US mainland,
and they did NOT let! THe X-Ray machine found them somehow! It's allowed to be checked in from HI? What's the fruit policy?

Pineapple and Coconuts are the only fruits allowed into the US mainland without being inspected and stamped for import.

Good to know! Thanks! (We thought we hid/camouflaged the mangos very well; what danger could they be?)
they must have a special "X-ray" that gets fruit before luggage check-in.  they found the mangoes right away....

Another successful Sunday to cook.

Guacamole and toasted bread.

Then Pan seared sea bass, topped to seared vegetables , on top of seasoned Persian rice.

Also, Pan seared sea bass layered with seared vegetables on top of seasoned toast.

Dessert... Plain strawberries
