Pretty good deal on the B&H Deal Zone today - the GVB 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal for GoPro is $159 (usually $229) or $249 with a camera (normally $359).

I've had two of their gimbals already and I love them.

I lost my Sony Alpha A5000 that I got with Dan's sweet recommendation for $273 a year and half ago. :-(

The same camera is now selling for $400, anyone have any great deals on the same or similar camera? I need something simple and smallish but takes decent quality shots.

But the base price has been lower on amazon and ebay...

Amazon not since Black Friday sales and it wasn't much less.
You can get it for $529 on eBay now, but it's the international version. I'd stick with the US version and Amazon's return policy for just a $20 effective difference.

AKA Gray Market - no manufacturer's warranty. Rarely, will come with an international plug or slightly different features (most often 29 minute max video recording time).

I was clarifying the international issue in general, not specifically Sony. As a rule, international versions won't have a manufacturer's warranty, and some rare cameras will have different issues as well.

The video recording limit is due to an EU regulation which states that a camera that records more than 30 minutes of video is classified as a video camera and thus subject to higher taxes. So if as camera comes in different UA and EU versions, the US will often have a longer maximum recording time. But if you buy Gray, you may be getting an EU version with the time limitation in place.

Thanks everyone, unfortunately the a6000 is no longer unavailable on amazon with the $50 :-(

I was also hoping to spend a little less, I paid half that for the a5000. Any other ideas?

BTW, I had the US version of the a5000 and videos were still limited to 29 minutes.
