AF on such a lens is not as critical as on others. Set it to f/8, focus at 8 feet or so, and everything 6 feet or so to infinity will be in focus.

And of course, there'll be another AB shoot

The Canon refurb store is running another sale, some pretty good deals to be had. Many cameras have an additional 10% off, and some come with a free case and/or memory card.

For example, a Powershot Elph 150 IS + case + memory card is only $70.

Great deal on a great bag for a basic DSLR and some accessories - the Tamrac 5531 Adventure Messenger 1 is currently $9 instead of the usual $30.

Kinda no-brainer if you have a DLSR+kit lens.

Awesome deal on an action camera. The Contour+2 is currently $100, instead of the regular $300.

If you've wanted a GoPro but didn't want to spend $300-400 this is a great option.

WARNING do not use this in small rooms - as it moves really fast and hard to control....

Nice thing about it is that it could crash and crash and keeps on going.

Also, with a bit of finesse on the controls you could make it move quite slowly.
