As well as other camera hardware. The sensor is usually smaller than a normal camera, less MP and more.

This one is the slimmest I can find for you https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNJWUBI/ref=twister_B00HQ9EA86?_encoding=UTF8&th=1, but if you are looking for "smartphone thin" you are basically out of luck, you can find a smartphone though (wouldn't be as good picture quality as a camera.)

I get that. But I'm looking for a great shot with good portability for travel and such. Also for taking pictures of the family. I read reports online that the cameras are essentially the same size when you take into account the larger lenses for mirrorless.

Wanted to hear others opinions.

I use the base 16-50mm power zoom lens. It's tiny.
