Is there a risk in QP from my account to my wifes account to avoid the 12$ service fee?

No DD needed just regular 500$ deposit.

What to avoid a service fee? are you sure your not mixing up the requiremet to get the bonus with avoiding service fee? AFIK tp avoid the service free you need to have either DD or a $1500 avg. daily balance or $5000 in all your chase accouts combeind

I did it in branch with a letter from the school (Yeshiva). I think that's the only way. I don't know if the school has to be a recognized school.
I don't believe that there is an age limit (just thinking about Rabbi Akiva, it wouldn't make sense).
They ask you how long you plan on continuing your studies, you can tell them any date up to 5 years and they put it into the system and that's when it'll change back to a regular total checking account.

Disclaimer: In the T&C of the offer it says that it has to remain a Chase total checking account for six months.

AP is not counted as DD for chase some bank external transfer would work and there is report of serve and bluebird withdrawal to count as DD YMMV
