Nice checker for what can and cannot officially be brought through security.
My TSA - Home Airport
You may want to print out their policy for under-educated agents.

The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoint.

does it offend you?
i am personally travelling on jet blue so people are also able to include past experiences specifically with jet blue
It messes up the forums and defeats the "search" function. No experience from previous jet blue encounters will help you any more than other airlines.

There is a company in the USA called TSA and they make the rules for all domestic and international flights leaving the USA. No airline can go around that. (Some airlines like El Al have there own security in addition to TSA)

No, not offended, just annoyed.

I hear your point and it's a valid one, but don't let yourself get annoyed over such things

I have nothing against you personally, it's against people that disregard the Seder that we try to keep here for everyone's benefit.

Oh, I guess you don't do search. I searched for "liquids security" and this is the second thread that came up - http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=21267.0

Just went through security three times with a full bottle (6~8 oz.) of saline (contact lens) solution. TSA allowed it as it is 'medicinal', they just swabbed it each time. CLE and LGA.

TSA agent: these liquids aren't allowed
Henche: its for the baby (pointing at infant)
TSA: scotch?
Henche: for his gums; he's teething

And that's where it ended?

I guess it is a big YMMV how much liquid one can get away with.

JFK - PHX, through JFK with one infant and two children, was able to bring through close to 10 bottles of water. (6 Passengers). No one said anything...

Tried it on the return. PHX - JFK, through PHX they looked at them and was like ok you have to many bottles. After negotiating what a reasonable amount to bring through was, they let us through with 5 8oz bottles.
And they missed two that never came out of the bag :)

I usually freeze the j&j ice caps for my travels (its the best thing after a flight try it!), have taken it past  security at all 3 NYC airports without any issue. Even if noticed by TSA agents, they let it pass.

I once saw a kid get stopped with a glass stoppered beaker full of liquid. The TSA let him go after he explained it was liquid nitro for a science fair.

No experience, but per the TSA,
Wax Candles are fine.
Olive oil is OK but only 3.4 oz or less, like other liquids
