Thanks. I would rather have one that also has USB-C, but will settle for this if I can't find anything else.

It boggles my mind that HotLogic can have a 12V model, but can't come up with something that is officially sanctioned for 110V & 220V (or better yet if they had something that can work for both of those AND 12V)

Major fire hazard IMO. It can work fine until a component overheats and then you're toast.

Yup. IINM other DPs too. However company clearly says step-down adapter needed. I wonder if anyone actually checked out the circuitry on this.

FWIW when looking at it on Amazon there are similar items from other manufacturers which are dual voltage.

I'm considering using this (several of them) heavily over Pesach for a large party. Not looking for any problems.

I am looking into getting a step-down converters, and some of them say for Electric appliances only, not electronic appliances. Not sure what the distinction is, and what the HotLogic would be considered.

I'm assuming it a version of this. https://byjus.com/physics/half-wave-rectifier/   It gives a very messy waveform that is not good for electronics, but heating elements don't care. Probably fine for a hot logic, but I'm not 100% sure because I don't know how it controls its temperature.

Worked fine and has the ports needed, comes with adapters and works on 110 also, so you can use it as a charging hub a well.

Not sure the issue. It's definitely easier to get a 120-220v to 12v adapter then a stepdown converter.

I think it's a stupid way of saying, "don't use it for anything with a motherboard". So no smart devices or things like that. Generally, if the power switch is just a button that knows whether you want to power it on or off, it's no good. If it's a physical switch, you should be fine.
