coming from scotland as long as the bars are open then we will be ok. Just have to try and get set up with rangers and knicks tickets now and then we will be ok. Has anyone been in to Ottos shrunken heads before as we have heard it is a good night out?

A new kosher steak house just opened in the Financial District at the Setai. Reservecut.com. Per the OU's website, it is under their supervision. Menu looks pretty pricey. At the moment, they are only serving dinner.
check out the manhattan kosher restaurant thread discussed there

Best espresso/cafe in Manhattan?
I'm looking for a real Italian/European styled cafe with a professional barrista. One where they really know how to make espresso to perfection - preferably with a nice ambiance. I am so sick of crap Starbucks and dunkin donuts and even illy. Looking for some really good stuff. Any ideas? I don't want to have to fly to Italy just for an espresso...
(I dont need it to be cholov yisroel pr kosher as i am getting just a black espresso.)

Thanks - Preferably not a chain... Looking more for a boutique really nice cafe. One of real superior quality?

Nespresso pods are the best pods I've had - but pods are beshaas hadchak.. I'm looking for a exquisite coffee. One that would have authentic Italian espresso machines and barrista etc..

Clover might be a good machine but the Starbucks reserve -coffee- is not "amazing" IMHO.. Will look up "NOI DUE." Thanks..

I find their coffee awful.

Personally I think Central Bar at the top floor of the Columbus circle mall has excellent coffee but it definitely doesn't have Italian ambiance.

I actually prefer Grill Point to Pita Hot, but depends on what you're getting.
I'll take their shwarma laffa any day.
