Suppose I want to buy a gift certificate for a couple to one of the nice steak places (reserve cut, mikes etc...). What should be the ideal amount?
If you want to cover a proper meal 250

My opinion
I think it depends where.
At LM you'll be hard pressed to spend $200.
At RC $200 won't go very far.
Sounds right for Mike's though.

I'd call a nice meal 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 side dishes like fries if the entrees don't include sides, 2 desserts, tax, tip.
At Reserve Cut you're looking at $300 for that.
Add drinks to a "nice meal" and you'll be in for way more than that.

I think one app, two entrees, two sides and a dessert is a nice meal. IIRC you can do that for $200 at RC assuming you don't get the most expensive steaks

I'm talking after tax and tip.
But even before tax and tip you would be tight.

Don't worry about me.  A boich like mine can pack it in and still manage to run to Icon, drive like mad, and make it on time for #DDS5T
