Any recommendations for a great restaurant?  Want a change from prime grill or solo.
Thinking of Prime Ko as i've never been there or Brooklyn's Pardes.  Any opinions?
Thanks

Service at Pardes was nothing special the few times I was there, food was good (not amazing) but considering their menu wasn't that extravagant I was disappointed they didn't have the few things I really wanted last time I was there. The food is also artsy, so don't expect a steakhouse.

I'm not much of a foodie. Personally I like Le Marais and Mike's Bistro, but that's probably because I can't justify to myself the cost of dinner @ the fancier places, so maybe I shouldn't be the one answering your questions.

It is really easy to rack up a nice tab at Mikes

Perhaps, but I'm under the impression that it's cheaper than the more expensive places I linked to, please CMIIW.

+1 to Mike's Bistro -- one of my favorite steaks in NYC. (and +1 to the ease at which a tab can be racked up... was there thursday night with 3 others and the bill, before we knew it was ~$400)

Prime KO has spectacular appies, but their mains leave something to be desired.

I also love the Delmonico at Le Carne.

Perhaps, but I'm under the impression that it's cheaper than the more expensive places I linked to, please CMIIW.

They're pretty similar... a main at Mike's is $40-60, too.

wasn't impressed with PRIMEKO their apps were solid but sushi and mains were nothing special. I was there a while ago so could have changed but not going back soon.
not sure why so many ppl love la merais its solid food but nothing amazing (ok except for the beef jerky) and last time i went we got food poisoned.
personally i  like to try diff food not just a good reg. steak!
its like going to ateres avraham...always a good solid meal but not gonna walk out saying wow that was amazing!

If you just stick to the steak, potatoes, and salad there's no reason you can't eat at Le Marais within that price range.
Last time I was there my favorite peppercorn steak was something like $32+25% tax/tip=$40

Although I do find it hard to leave without their warm chocolate cake, probably the best version of that dessert anywhere.

If only they took restaurant.com coupons  ;D

you liked the peppercorn steak?
maybe I ordered mine wrong
how do you like yours cooked?

You?

9:15 RSVP, sitting to the left right when you enter, in that enclave closest to the street.

Peppercorn steak is, IMHO, their best steak. Medium to medium-rare gets me every time.

better than the tuesday night delmonico at PG?

Actually, I don't think I've been to PG at on a Tuesday so I can't opine. Le Carne's delmonico is available every night, and to my palate is durn good.

+1 on the Peppercorn at Le Merais. Very good steak (and fried).
+1 On the appies being the only really good thing @ Prime KO.
IMHO Tevere is being overlooked here it is one of my favorites.
Delmonico at Le Carne is good but bit over-hyped for the price.

ok but parking in manhattan will cost you a pretty penny!! at the hyatt 48LEX they want 60$ a day WITHOUT in/out!!!(meaning once you take your car you have to repay to bring back!!
I stayed there last night comped my parking because of plat status.
Very nice room on 21st floor. Obviously more of business hotel as suite was a little small but well appointed.
