Reserve cut is not far
Don’t really want to go there. Is mikes bistro open on Saturday night? Any other meat restaurants open then?

Any escape rooms in the city today that would be a decent price for 2? Looking for under $50 together. Groupon doesn’t have anything

@Yehuda asked me to write a TR on my 24 hours in the city so here goes.
I’m sorry about the pictures not being in order and all at the bottom. Im using Tapatalk.

I had a BMG certificate to any Hilton worldwide due to some issue I had whilst staying at the Hilton midtown a couple of years ago.
As this one was expiring soon (and we already extended last years one) we decided to go for this weekend being as it’s our anniversary too. So we booked a room at The Conrad NYC.
On Friday afternoon I called to tell them it was our anniversary and she offered to write a card, send some kosher wine and fruit.
We stayed in Far rockaway over shabbos and left our kids there.
We decided against driving to the City and will try taking trains, subways and Uber for the 24 hour period.
We got on the LIRR at Inwood (Parked near seasons express) heading directly to Atlantic Terminal. Costed $8.75 each. Comfortable and fairly quick.
Side note: Google maps isn’t great with planning public transportation. They didn’t give me the option of going to Penn Station, which would’ve been better for me.
From Atlantic Terminal we changed over to a 2 subway to Chambers street and walked in the rain to The Conrad.

Hotel was pleasant, modern and spacious for the city.

Suites have sliding doors throughout so you can close off the lounge area, the bathroom shower area and the bedrooms area.

We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the NJ skyline.
Wine, fruit and card were waiting for us when we arrived.

We then went by subway to Noi Due Carne. I had to try it out as we really liked the dairy place.
It was totally empty when we got there. It was already 11pm by the time we started eating and DW is on this diet that I still haven’t wrapped my head around yet so I ordered a ‘Filet’ steak ($55) and a side of wild mushroom cigars ($14+-) while DW got a Lebanese Salad ($24). It was all really good. Then got a delicious Tea Nana. Perfect for that cold rainy night.
Went back by subway again.

Next morning DW had her own breakfast brought along (diet stuff) so I decided to order in a light breakfast. (I also had to wait in my room as my shoes were being shined and I only realized they offer it in the morning)
We had free breakfast but didn’t offer a kosher option so they gave me the 1000 points instead.
After the Front desk texted me about the stay so far I mentioned the lack of kosher breakfast and that they by mistake sent up non kosher wine so she felt bad and gave me an additional 10,000 points. Very nice of them.

@Essenestzich gave me a code for seamless so I ordered from Bravo Pizza 2 slices and a fries. With the $12 off code it all came to $9.
They dropped it off at the front desk and someone brought it up to my room moments later.
Pizza was insanely soggy and inedible. It could have been due to the amount of time it took to get delivered but it was horrible.

We now wanted to do something that we can’t usually do with kids. All escape rooms were either fully booked or only open for parties of 6 or more. So we ended up taking a Lyft to Chelsea piers to play some golf.
$40 for 129 balls. Machine broke half way so we ended up with about 200 balls for that price. In this frigid weather it was more than enough.
We had to head back to far rockaway already but wanted to get in some late lunch first so we took a lyft again to Mocha Burger. I got a Funghi Burger ($19) and DW got a grilled chicken wrap ($18). It was awesome! We didn’t have to wait long for out food & it tasted great. Was exactly what we needed.
From there we once again took a Lyft to Penn station and took the LIRR to Jamaica, switched trains and headed back to Inwood.

Personal opinion: Conrad is a decent hotel but the location isn’t great if you want to be near the kosher restaurants. The closest subway station was 7 minute walk away too.
Noi Due Carne - our dishes were really good (especially the Lebanese salad dressing!)
Bravos pizza - Don’t order it. Eat in only
Mocha burger - Also, amazing stuff.
If DW would have been willing to eat I would have loved to try lots of other dishes but I guess it’ll have to wait when I go with other people :)

Most of the color factory isn't for kids (or adults), but at the end there's an adult size ball pit, which is a lot of fun, although you need to be careful not to lose your child in there..
