Thanks for the recommendation of "Clubhouse" on 46th. It was really good and not too pricey at all (compared to the other Manhattan restaurants...)
Your welcome, the owner of Le Marais/Clubhouse really knows how to make a nice place.

And I love brushing up on my Portuguese at Clubhouse and ordering off-the-menu Brazilian drinks like a Caiparinha made with Passion Fruit or other fruit instead of just limes (which is perfectly good as well)!

Are there any other restaurant reccomendations in Manhattan- prefferably midtown area- that are nice but priced mid range like The Clubhouse? i.e. I consider $50-$80 for a couple to be mid range, as opposed to the Solo, Prime Grill, Le Marais etc...'s that are $100++

If you just stick to the steak, potatoes, and salad there's no reason you can't eat at Le Marais within that price range.
Last time I was there my favorite peppercorn steak was something like $32+25% tax/tip=$40

Although I do find it hard to leave without their warm chocolate cake, probably the best version of that dessert anywhere.

If only they took restaurant.com coupons  ;D

It's interesting that the Whole NYC thread is restaurants, and not one hotel report/request.

I stayed at the W on lexington and was impressed. I did have a suite which was great but overall it is a very nice hotel.
We walked to 46th st to Clubhouse cafe which is across the street from La Marais.

Use the site http://nyc.bestparking.com/index.php to find the cheapest nearby parking. I ended up saving a nice amount of money by parking a few blocks away rather than right by the hotel.

Actually there werent any reg rooms available (memorial day weekend) so when I called they offered me the suite for more points which I took, since there was not one other SPG room avail in manhattan for that night. I think anyone can get the suite for the additional points (i think it was 14,500) over the phone if avail.

I wasnt there during the day but if I would have been we would have probably gone for lunch to Cafe K which is also not a far walk. (48st near 5th I think)

Also right across the street, Le Marais' cracked peppercorn steak is awesome, and don't miss their warm chocolate cake-possibly the best version of this dessert that I've ever tried.

+1 to both of those!...Let's just say that they are known for the their peppercorn steak - not a massive steak by any means, but fantastic!
