I didn't like MMF at all. Nui Due is awesome IMHO. One of the best pastas I ever had.

Only downside is you can't make a reservation. Food is great.

Regarding the Hechscher, it's Rabbi Mehlman, who is quite an Ehrlich Yid with a shtiebel on the UWS. Can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with his Hashgocho....but, as the saying goes, two Jews yield at least three opinions

Agree 100% with this part of the statement, but an Ehrlich yid does not a good hecsher make. I would eat in his house, but not in his restaurants.
Spoke to people in the know who strongly recommended against it.

i have not been there yet but they say the Highline in the city is supposed to be a beautiful place for a walk or there is the brooklyn promenade where you can see the city

I'm The meatpacking.district they have this ready cool park it used to be an elevated train and they turned it into a park,
you can check out the wtc memorial walk across the street to the amex building.they have some of there history and stuffs all over the walls in their lobby maybe interesting for you and you can walk thru the building to the winter gardens and then you can go out back and walk along the Hudson to battery park although if your not from there you may want to walk on the street as Manhattan is pretty cool and you have no reason to try to run away you'll get your lake views in the Swiss alps
