Can somebody recommend a nice hotel For a Chinese Business Partner he's in the 70 park avenue hotel - a Kimpton Hotel and very unhappy looking to spend 4 or 5 hundred a night till friday

Andaz midtown is pretty close to there.

Turns out his problem was he felt that he wasn't in the matzav so we put him in the Marriott Marquis times square (don't think you can get more in the matzav than that)

can anyone recommend a nice SPG hotel in Manhattan, preferably midtown, but downtown is a consideration as well

would like to use cash + points ideally, but can do straight points as well
i see most are level 5/6, so need a little advice on what people think gives the best bang for the buck

I've never eaten at either but I believe solo use the most expensive kosher restaurant in nyc. I've heard great things about mike's just do a search on the main page im sure you'll see reviews. I'm actually planning on going there tomorrow night.

Try using savored.com for Mikes and Solo , you can get 30% off the whole meal. Sometimes the times are limited, but its a great deal.

Out of the 2, I prefer Mike's.

Ive been to Solo once, and Mikes like 7 or 8 times. Mikes has been very consistently good.

It was good, i just think Mike's is better (Mikes is also closer to my apt).

Sorry- forgot to recommend the Duck Gnocchi as an appetizer. My favorite thing in the restaurant.

I think the dumpling appetizer is even better.
And the ribs are outstanding.

Had it. Was very unique! Taste was very good too. When we sat down we asked the waitress what's good she said well among the wait staff we decided they should really rename it gnnocchi and ribs.

pecan pie was a very rich and true flavor absolutely delicious. Dumplings are good, the sauce and plumb with them are fantastic. Thats my review.

+1 on the duck gnocchi. As I've said many times before, that's the thing to beat at Mike's.

thanks guys for all the feedback...i think its gana be mikes even though solo is walking distance to a show afterwards as opposed to mikes which ill have to drive there.

any other suggestions and favorites from there besides for the gnocchi and ribs? wana know what else to get...thanks
