No, you cannot book it online.

PUTPAC.

And of those mentioned, you can only book Lex 48 (which I very much like).

Anyone been to Benjy's Pizza in queens? I miss it so very much  :'(

Brunch is good at My most favorite and Noidue (both relatively close by in the upper west side) but I think some people dont love the hechsher on Noidue.

I know that Noidue used to be certified by National Kosher Supervision which when I asked a very reliable rav that knows about hechsherim he told me that it is not a recommended hechsher. Now though, when you check the website it says that they are certified by the OK. Has anyone been there recently?

Just notifying whomever may not know yet- There's a new NYC Master thread for hotels over here.

Special thanks goes to the mod that started the hard work of separating the hotel posts from this thread.

I started the wiki.
There's not much there other than a couple of random placeholders, but I put in the structure -copied from yuneeq's Israel wiki with the addition of additional info for attractions.

If you don't think I did the grouping etc. right, or think I missed something, go change it. that's why it's a wiki :)

Why not try sushi metsuyan its excellent!

+1, great ambiance too. Maybe have lunch there and take C&Gs to the plane. Perhaps if you pack their sauces in <3oz containers in a ziplock, you can bring them on the plane :)

So I started a job in Queens a few weeks ago and I don't know anything about Queens!  What are some good kosher places to eat in Queens?  The job is in Bayside but I don't mind traveling around a bit for good food, especially since I have a friend in Manhattan who is willing to meet me in Queens on occasion.  Is it worth eating in Queens to save 15 minutes of driving?  Or should I suck it up and meet him in midtown?

15 minutes to Midtown? You must not be a New Yorker. It's almost a half hour in no traffic. There are a bunch of places on Union Tpke, which is probably a little closer than heading to Main St. Use the Shamash.org map, just scroll in toward where you work and look at the eateries nearby. There's a pretty big and varied selection.

It's 15 minutes further than eating in Queens I said.  Not 15 minutes to midtown.  This assumes I'd be eating in Kew Garden Hills.

It's not 15 minutes from Forest Hills to Midtown either. It's at least a half hour subway ride and probably around that driving if traffic is light.

As far as food in Forest Hills, there's almost nothing. There are a few places on 108th St in an area not particularly close to the subway. The bulk of the restaurants in Queens are on Main St or Union Turnpike.

1.  I edited my post to say Kew Gardens Hills instead of Forest Hills, at exactly the same time you posted your reply.  How cute :)

2.  I am referring to the total time it would take me to leave work in Bayside, get to a restaurant, and go home to Monsey.  From my office in bayside to W 72nd st and back to monsey (without traffic) is about 1h 10m, going to Kew Gardens Hills and driving back to Monsey is under 1h.  This is all according to Google Maps.  In other words driving the 30 minutes from Bayside to Midtown puts me closer to Monsey, and therefore the increase in total driving time is only 15 minutes, assuming no traffic (I dont leave work till rush hour is long over so there's a chance there won't be traffic).
